How It Began

For me, it started long before Betsy. Before Bookstagram. Before the pink truck.

It started with a lifelong love of reading.

 

Books have always felt like home, a place of comfort, escape and connection. The kind of magic you can carry in your hands.

 

I worked for many years as a midwife in the NHS, supporting families at the very beginning of their stories. After stepping away from midwifery, I found myself reflecting on what I truly wanted next.

 

I began sharing my reading life online and discovered something powerful: reading isn’t just about books. It’s about belonging. It’s about finding your people.

 

After losing my Dad, everything shifted. His passing was a reminder that life is precious and far too short to keep putting dreams on hold.

 

The Wandering Chapter is me choosing the dream.

 

Choosing stories.

Choosing community.

Choosing to begin.

 

Chapter One - Betsy is the first step. Small, pink, full of heart… and ready to travel.
