How It Began

For me, it started long before Betsy. Before Bookstagram. Before the pink truck.

It started with a lifelong love of reading.

 

Books have always felt like home, a place of comfort, escape and connection. The kind of magic you can carry in your hands.

 

I worked for many years as a midwife in the NHS, supporting families at the very beginning of their stories. After stepping away from midwifery, I found myself reflecting on what I truly wanted next.

 

I began sharing my reading life online and discovered something powerful: reading isn’t just about books. It’s about belonging. It’s about finding your people.

 

There comes a point when you realise that waiting for the “right time” means risking never starting at all.

 

The Wandering Chapter is my way of choosing something I truly love, creating a space where books, stories, and community can come together. It’s a reminder to follow what excites you, take chances, and build something meaningful.

Chapter One - Betsy is the first step. Small, pink, full of heart… and ready to travel.
